Family Tree
“Do you have children, Mrs. Amanda?”
“No, not yet. Maybe someday. Mr. Ian and I have one dog, though. His name is Wilson.”
As I continue to write vocabulary on the chalkboard, I decide to add Wilson to my family tree. The children giggle, and then one says:
“Mrs. Amanda, it’s the same here in Perú. Dogs are part of our family, too.”
That kid is getting an A.
